"I primarily take a cognitive-behavioral, solution-oriented approach to help young adults sort through all of the options and decisions they are faced with at this time of life. While the 20's can be exhilarating and full of possibilities, it is also full of instability and uncertainty. So
many possibilities and responsibilities can be overwhelming, and relationship upheaval can be discouraging. I strive to help my clients figure out what they want in their future, and how to get it."

What will you do with your one wild and precious life?
"The 20s is all about creating our own unique answer to this question. We find out who we are and who we wish to be through our friendships, significant relationships, jobs, and being independent from parents while remaining connected to them. A couple of sessions can help you sort out relationship or career issues. Longer therapy can help you deal with complex feelings, problems and confusing experiences along your life journey. I offer a caring, accepting, warm counseling experience." |

"In our early adulthood, our challenges provide the opportunity for our greatest growth. Whether these are anxiety, depression, relationship problems or other challenges, our struggles can be the beginning of transformation. I strive to help each person feel safe enough that such private feelings and struggles can emerge and be explored."

"For many young adults, the 20's are a time of great exploration and wonder. It is at that time of our development that we take risks, explore our values, and build on and deepen our relationships. It is where we begin to become the adult we are meant to be. I strive to meet the individual, family or couple where they are in the process, without a predestined outcome, but to help them reach a level of peace and contentment."

At the San Mateo County Pride Center, we are passionate about providing affirming therapy services specifically aimed to support the LGBTQ+ community. Our therapists are well versed in discussing sexual orientation and gender identity, as well as the LGBTQ+ specific obstacles that many of us face such as bullying, coming out, navigating family relationships, societal marginalization, etc. We also are gender affirming and happy to work with trans and nonbinary clients navigating gender identity and transition. We recognize that young adulthood is filled with significant changes, choice points, and transitions, all of which can be immensely challenging. Our therapists are here not only to support you through these challenges, but also to aid you in identifying and moving toward the kind of life you WANT to be living.
